This ring was made from the same fork as the Songbird Ring.
One fork. Two pieces. The decorative bird motif at the top of the fork became the Songbird Ring. The handle and tines became this one. Nothing was discarded. Everything became something.
The band is wide and smooth, made from the handle of the fork. The tines were bent by hand into sculptural spirals that sit at the top of the ring. No additional silver. No added elements. Only the fork, reshaped.
The result is a ring that is minimal and bold at the same time. It wears like a cuff. It stacks naturally with the Songbird Ring if you want both. Worn alone, it reads as contemporary. Worn together, the story is complete.
The fork carries the same Dutch hallmarks as the Songbird Ring: a sword mark, confirming first-grade Dutch sterling silver made before 1953.

Één vork. Twee stukken. Het siermotief met het vogeltje aan de bovenkant van de vork werd de Songbird Ring. Het handvat en de tanden werden deze ring. Niets werd weggegooid. Alles werd iets.
De band is breed en glad, gemaakt van het handvat van de vork. De tanden werden met de hand omgebogen tot sculptuurachtige spiralen die bovenop de ring zitten. Geen extra zilver. Geen toegevoegde elementen. Alleen de vork, omgevormd.
Het resultaat is een ring die tegelijk minimaal en uitgesproken is. Hij draagt als een manchet. Hij stapelt van nature met de Songbird Ring als je beide wilt dragen. Alleen gedragen leest hij als hedendaags. Samen gedragen is het verhaal compleet.
De vork draagt dezelfde Nederlandse keurtekens als de Songbird Ring: een zwaardje, wat eerste gehalte Nederlands sterling zilver bevestigt, gemaakt voor 1953.
